The Iowa City City Council will vote on the third and final consideration of two proposed rezoning amendments that have garnered a combined 100-plus petitions.
The first rezoning amendment would establish three as the maximum number of bedrooms allowed in a multifamily housing unit in multifamily zones.
The other would require at least one parking space per bedroom for multifamily housing units in the University Impact Area.
An ordinance requires three votes. Councilors will vote on the third consideration of each of these ordinances at its next meeting, May 15.
