The Iowa City City Council voted in favor of considering an ordinance that would change the speed limit along North Dodge Street in the area of Prairie Du Chien Road and Conklin Lane.

The city engineer and the Iowa Department of Transportation recommended establishing a 35 mph speed limit between Prairie Du Chien Road and 175 feet north of Conklin Lane.

They would also consider establishing a 45 mile per hour speed limit between a point 175 feet north of Conklin lane to a point 600 feet south of the northern city limits.
