Police arrested a local man after he allegedly broke into an art studio over the weekend.

Christian Fleming, 20, 1024.5 Walnut St., was charged Friday with third-degree burglary,

When confronted by the owner, Fleming reported said he was homeless and was just looking at the art, the report said. After the owner said he would be contacting the police, Fleming allegedly took off running, but was chased down by the owner approximately four to five blocks.

Fleming allegedly told police he was in the building, which had a deadbolt and a padlock, but that he was “appreciating the art.”
