The Sacramento Kings bounced back by winning three of four games last week after dropping six of seven games in the prior two weeks.
Tuesday’s 120-111 win over the Houston Rockets featured forward Keegan Murray’s 13 points, seven rebounds, three blocks, and one assist on 5-of-11 shooting in 40 minutes.
Sacramento’s only loss last week came to the Memphis Grizzlies, 115-110, on Thursday. Murray logged an 11-point, 11-rebound double-double along with two assists and two steals on 4-of-12 shooting in 40 minutes of play.
He turned around and recorded his best scoring performance the following day with 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting along with six rebounds, two blocks, and one assist in the 140-113 routing over the San Antonio Spurs.
The Kings registered another blowout win over the Utah Jazz on Sunday, 141-97. Murray provided minor contributions with seven points, four rebounds, two blocks, one assist, and one steal on a minimal 3-of-5 shooting.
Despite the 3-1 week, the Kings sit at the 12th spot in the Western Conference with a 12-13 record.

The rollercoaster that has been Kris Murray’s playing time made its way through the Portland Trail Blazers’ three-game losing skid.
Kris played seven minutes in the 127-105 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday and produced just two points on one field goal attempt. He bounced back with a 14-point, two-rebound, one-assist performance on 6-of-9 shooting in the 141-99 blowout loss to the Jazz on Friday.
The 107-98 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday saw a scoreless outing along with two rebounds and one assist on one missed shot in three minutes of action.
Now on a four-game losing streak, Portland remains as the 13th seed in the Western Conference standings with an 8-16 record.
Luka Garza
The Minnesota Timberwolves resided in California for the week to take on the Los Angeles Clippers and a back-to-back dual against the Golden State Warriors.
The Timberwolves claimed a 108-80 victory over the Clippers on Wednesday. Center Luka Garza, who has mainly been a bench piece that appears at the end of nearly finished games, saw eight valuable minutes and posted 10 points, three rebounds, and one steal on 4-of-5 shooting.
Garza saw just two minutes in the front end of a back-to-back against the Warriors, where he posted two points and one rebound on 1-of-2 shooting in the 107-90 win on Friday. He didn’t appear in the 114-106 loss on Sunday.
Minnesota’s 12-11 record has them sitting at the ninth seed in the West.
