Gov. Kim Reynolds hosted her annual Harvest Festival at the Elwell Family Food Center at the Iowa State Fairgrounds on Saturday.
The event featured guest speaker Riley Gains, a former swimmer at the University of Kentucky and an outspoken anti-transgender activist.
In March 2022, Reynolds signed a bill into law that banned transgender women from women’s and girl’s sports in Iowa.
