Iowa played Maryland in field hockey on Friday, Sept. 30, a date that marked 50 years of Title IX.
Iowa scored the first goal midway through the game, but Maryland caught up to tie later on. Maryland won in overtime after scoring a goal on a penalty shot. The final score was 2-1.
