Red Oak man charged with stealing from hospital

A Red Oak man has been accused of stealing equipment from an office in the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. 

Stuart Sellers, 45, was charged March 4 with first-degree theft and twelve counts of third-degree burglary. 

According to the arrest affidavit, Sellers entered a closed office suite in the hospital without permission or reason to be there. While there, Sellers stole more than $10,000 in office equipment and computers, as well as personal items from the 12 offices combined. 

First-degree theft is a Class-C felony and third-degree burglary is a Class-D felony.
