A Boone man has been accused of willful injury causing serious injury.

Troy Borsh, 23, was charged on Sept. 27 with OWI and willful injury causing serious injury.

According to the arrest affidavit, Borsh drove from Pints to the 800 block of College Street while intoxicated to partake in a drug deal. When Borsh arrived, he gave the dealer $200 for cocaine. The dealer took off running before the exchange was complete.

Borsh then tackled the dealer to the ground and began pulling his hair and beating his face, the affidavit said. When police arrived, the dealer was barely conscious in a pool of blood. The dealer was left with a serious head injury.

When Borsh was interviewed, he laughed when recounting the attack, the affidavit said.

Willful injury causing serious injury is a Class-C felony.
