Joe Biden, Amy Klobuchar to visit Iowa City this week

Iowa City will have two presidential hopefuls visit this week — former Vice President Joe Biden and Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar — before they visit to the Iowa State Fair.

Biden’s stop Aug. 7 coincides with a presidential campaign office opening in Iowa City. Also on Aug. 7, Biden’s wife, Jill Biden, will attend office openings in Dubuque and Davenport. Joe Biden’s Iowa City stop is one of nine events on his schedule across Iowa between Aug. 7 and Aug. 10, including a stop by the Iowa State Fair on Aug. 8.

On Aug. 8, Klobuchar will stop by Grow: Johnson County, an Iowa City farm that donates food and provides gardening education. According to a press release, she will visit 19 other counties in Iowa culminating likewise in a trip to the Iowa State Fair.
