An Iowa City man has been accused of kicking a woman in the stomach knowing she was pregnant.

Lavail Drain, 40, was charged third domestic assault.

According to the arrest affidavit, Drain got into oral altercation with a woman because he was upset with her taking too long to get back from the store while he was watching their five kids. According to the documents, Drain then kicked her in the stomach, knowing she was three months pregnant. Drain denied she was pregnant.

Third domestic assault is a Class-D felony.
