Police locate body under Highway 6 bridge

Iowa City police recovered a deceased person in a makeshift campsite under the Highway 6 bridge over the Iowa River on the afternoon of July 1, according to a press release.

The police were called to the scene at approximately 2:45 p.m. 

The release said the investigation is ongoing, but it is believed that there is no connection to the deceased person found in Ralston Creek in the morning.
