North Liberty man allegedly found with 100 grams of marijuana

Authorities have accused a North Liberty man of possessing marijuana.
Grant Seamands, 33, was charged May 1 with a controlled-substance violation, failure to affix a drug stamp, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to the arrest affidavit, Seamands was stopped by police for a traffic violation. When approaching Seamands’ vehicle, officers reportedly noticed a strong odor of marijuana.
Officers say they discovered 100 grams of marijuana and a glass pipe in Seamands’ vehicle. He admitted to smoking marijuana earlier.
A controlled-substance violation and failure to affix a drug stamp are Class-D felonies.
