A woman was found dead at an Iowa City home on Friday morning, according to a release from the Iowa City Police Department.

Officers were called to 114 Green Mountain Drive on Iowa City’s east side at 6:59 a.m. on Friday in response to a report of an unresponsive female.

Upon arrival, responders found the woman dead. The death is currently being treated as suspicious.

The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigations, the Iowa City Police Department, the Johnson County Attorney’s Office, and the Johnson County Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating.

The deceased woman’s name is not being released at this time as next of kin are being notified.
