UI police investigate report of student struck in residence hall

The University of Iowa police received a report of an unknown student entering a room in an East Side residence hall Tuesday evening and striking a resident’s face, according to a crime alert sent to students. The incident is under investigation.

In the alert, the UI police encouraged students to lock their doors at all times and call 911 if they need to report suspicious activity.
