Authorities have accused a North Liberty man of trying to use counterfeit bills.

Rasean Yates, 18, was charged Feb. 19 with forgery and possession of marijuana.

According to the arrest affidavit, Yates allegedly attempted to use counterfeit money at two gas stations. When arrested, Yates allegedly had marijuana on his person.

Forgery is a Class-D felony.
