Cedar Rapids man accused of getting juvenile to shoplift for him

Authorities have accused a Cedar Rapids man of coercing a juvenile to shoplift from a department store.

Lee Wallace, 38, was charged Jan. 11 with using a juvenile to commit an indictable offense and third-degree theft.

According to the arrest affidavit, Wallace and a juvenile were spotted on surveillance video shoplifting more than $500 worth of merchandise from Scheels.

Using a juvenile to commit an indictable offense is a Class-C felony.
