Des Moines man faces numerous charges

Authorities have accused a Des Moines man of possessing 11 bags of marijuana.

Trevor Tallman, 19, was charged on Oct. 27 with public intoxication, PAULA, possession of drug paraphernalia, two controlled-substance violations, and interference with official acts.

According to the arrest affidavit, Tallman was intoxicated at a McDonalds. When asked by law enforcement for identification, he provided a fake ID. When Tallman opened his wallet, the officer saw Tallman’s real ID and learned that Tallman was underage. Tallman allegedly possessed 11 bags of marijuana, three bottles of beer, and 57 Xanax pills in his backpack.

Controlled-substance violation is a Class D felony.
