Authorities have issued a warrant for an Iowa City man accused of forcing a person out of his residence.

Peter Starefos, 34, 3028 Stratford Lane, has been charged with first-degree burglary.

According to the arrest affidavit, Starefos knocked on the person’s apartment door. When he was greeted, he repeatedly punched the person in the face unprovoked until Starefos was forced out of the apartment and locked out.

Starefos then reportedly kicked the door in and continued to assault the person until he fled the area, the affidavit said. Three witnesses reported the incident.

First-degree burglary is a Class-B felony.
