An unidentified student at the University of Iowa was hit in a motor collision at Dubuque Street.

The student reportedly was walking with his phone when he was hit by a dump truck, construction workers said on the scene.

Dubuque Street is currently closed to traffic in both directions of between Brown and Church Streets due to the ongoing investigation.

Dubuque Street will reopen as soon as possible, a press release from the City of Iowa City said.
