A small fire in a room in Trowbridge Hall sent students out into the rain on Sept. 5.

No injuries were reported in the afternoon incident. The fire has since been extinguished.

“On investigation, we found a small fire in one of the rooms and it was extinguished. Students will return to class momentarily,” Zach Hickman, battalion chief, said on the scene.

Hickman said he did not know the cause of the fire.
