For first-time Dance Marathon participants, being on their feet for 24 hours is a new experience. Despite sore feet and fatigue, new dancers were full of energy. They were surprised and inspired by how easily they could connect with Dance Marathon families. New dancers often first join the organization because their friends are involved, but Dance Marathon can turn into so much more for those who have a loved one with cancer. In the end, first-time participants just seemed happy to be dancing.
