Authorities have accused a Davenport man of eluding arrest, among other charges.
Bryan Hall, 36, was charged Dec. 3 with eluding, second-degree theft, and two counts of carrying weapons.
According to the arrest affidavit, Hall was driving a vehicle with expired license plates, and, when pulled over by officers, he tried to run. Hall also attempted to elude officers by driving in the wrong lane, not following traffic signals, going down a one-way street the wrong way, and not stopping at stop signs, the affidavit said.
Hall admitted to eluding officers, the affidavit said, because he has numerous warrants out for his arrest.
When the vehicle was being searched, the affidavit said, two knives were found, one with an 8-inch blade and the other with a 5-inch blade.
While examining the vehicle, the affidavit said, officers discovered it had been stolen. The affidavit said Hall admitted to taking the vehicle after finding the keys inside it.
Eluding and second-degree theft are Class-D felonies.
