The University of Iowa police have arrested Robert Walker, 18, 2964 Heinz Road, as a suspect in an armed robbery that occurred near Rienow on Sept. 29.
Walker was arrested on Nov. 30, the UI police said; he has been charged with first-degree robbery, a Class-B felony. The UI police said Walker has also been charged with interference with official acts and fifth-degree criminal mischief “in relation to his apprehension on Nov. 30.”
The UI police have a warrant for the arrest of the second suspect, a juvenile, in the robbery. Iowa City police have reported that the juvenile aimed a gun at the victims.
The suspect is charged with first-degree robbery and carrying weapons, a Class-D felony. He is in jail in connection with another crime that occurred on Nov. 21.
