Josey Jewell’s play against Purdue on Nov. 18 earned him yet another honor — Lott IMPACT Trophy National Player of the Week.
It is the second time this season Jewell has received the award. The senior linebacker was awarded it after his play against Wyoming in the first game of the season.

Against Purdue, Jewell posted 13 tackles, 2 sacks, and 3 pass breakups. It brought his total number of tackles to 117, which ranks No. 3 in the nation, even after missing the Northwestern game.
Jewell is one of five finalists for the Bronko Nagurski Award, a finalist for the Senior CLASS Award, and a semifinalist for the end of the season Lott IMPACT Trophy. He was a semifinalist for the Bednarik and Butkus Awards but did not make it to the final round.
