Authorities have requested a warrant for the arrest of a Cedar Rapids woman wanted for theft.
Ieshia Dixon, 26, was charged Sept. 16 with second-degree theft.
According to the affidavit, Dixon cashed two checks for $967.88 and $899.21 within 30 minutes of each other at Coralville and North Liberty banks. Midwest One Bank in Coralville suffered a loss of $1,867.09 as a result of these actions, the affidavit said.
Both checks were said to be from a McDonald’s account, the affidavit said, but McDonald’s told officers Dixon was not an employee, making the checks counterfeit.
Dixon presented her identification when cashing the checks, the affidavit said, which was captured on security tapes.
Second-degree theft is a Class-D felony.
