July 24, 2017
UI President Bruce Harreld announced on July 20 that Lena Hill, senior associate to the president and associate professor of English and African American studies, will serve as interim chief diversity officer and associate vice president.
Monique DiCarlo, sexual misconduct response coordinator, will remain in her current position while also serving as the Title IX coordinator.
The two have been placed in these roles to carry out Georgina Dodge’s duties as chief diversity officer, associate vice president, and Title IX coordinator. Dodge is headed to Bucknell University to become the associate provost for diversity, equity, and inclusion after working for seven years at the UI. Today is her final day.
