IC woman charged with burglary
A warrant is out for the arrest of an Iowa City woman in connection with a burglary.
Authorities have charged Patrice McAfee, 30, 837 N. Summit St., with first-degree burglary. According to an affidavit, McAfee went to a woman’s home on July 10 and was caught on video hitting her face, grabbing her hair, and punching her head. When the woman went back into the house, McAfee followed her and continued to hit her, causing her nose and mouth to bleed, the affidavit said. McAfee also committed burglary, the affidavit said.
First-degree burglary is a Class-B felony.

Area man faces drug charge
Authorities have accused a Coralville man of possessing drugs.
Nicholas Montgomery, 24, was charged with a controlled-substance violation on July 3. According to the arrest affidavit, Montgomery sold 60 grams of marijuana to an undercover agent for $500.
Montgomery has been taken into custody, the affidavit said.
A controlled-substance violation is a Class-D felony.

Man faces sex-offender, weapons charges
Authorities have arrested a man accused of a sex-offender violation and trafficking in stolen weapons.
Keith Rogers, 33, address unknown, was charged July 13 with second or subsequent registration violation as a sex offender. According to the arrest affidavit, Rogers failed to comply with Sexual Offender Registry Requirements. He was also charged July 13 with trafficking in stolen weapons. According to the arrest affidavit, officers obtained a search warrant and found a firearm in Rogers’ possession. The firearm was confirmed stolen from Florida, the affidavit said.
Sex-offender registration violation and trafficking in stolen weapons are Class-D felonies.
