Iowa City police are investigating a suspicious death at a building on Sunday.

According to a press release from the City of Iowa City, a man was found dead at 518 S. Capitol St. on April 23 after police were dispatched to the home at 11:11 a.m.

The man’s death is considered “suspicious,” the release said, and the Iowa City Police Department investigations unit is conducting an active investigation.

The man’s identity will not be released at this time, the release said, pending confirmation of the identity and family notification.
