The University of Iowa Department of Public Safety received a report of a sexual assault that occurred during the early morning hours of April 23 at a westside residence hall.

According to an email, the assault was perpetrated by an acquaintance of the person.

The email notes that the only person responsible for sexual misconduct is the perpetrator.
