Curtis Seals, 52, was charged April 6 with stalking while violating a protective order.According to the arrest affidavit, Seals was unable to contact the victim due to a domestic assault no-contact order. On April 6 at 12:05 a.m., Seals went to the victim’s home, where the victim’s daughter told Seals to leave, according to the affidavit. After Seals continued to pound on the door, officers were alerted to the incident.
Seals has been to the victim’s house and beat on the door in January 2017 and December 2016, according to the affidavit. Additionally, the affidavit stated that Seals has violated the no-contact order three times in 2014. In May 2014 he threatened to kill the victim and burn down her house, in August 2014 he broke into her house, and in October 2014, assaulted the victim, for which he was arrested. The victim is fearful of Seals, according to the affidavit.
Seals has been taken into custody, according to the affidavit.
Stalking is a Class-D felony.

Authorities have accused a Niles, Michigan man of domestic abuse.
Harley Jackson, 36, was charged April 8 with domestic abuse impeding air/blood flow.
According to the arrest affidavit, an officer was called to Walgreens in Coralville at 5:15 p.m. on April 8 for a fight. When the officer arrived at Walgreens, the victim said she was hit multiple times by Jackson, and he tried to strangle her, according to the affidavit. The victim, the affidavit said, had red markings on her neck and bruises in multiple areas on her body.
The victim lives with Jackson and the pair are engaged.
Jackson was taken into custody and a no-contact order has been requested, the affidavit said.
Domestic abuse impeding air/blood flow is a Class-D felony.
