Well, this was unexpected. I said before the game something weird was going to happen. We definitely got that:

Oh Ron. We love you, buddy. (He got a punt downed at the 2-yard line, which directly led to an Iowa safety. He’s fine.)
Also Desmond King has gone ROGUE.

Taking kick returns from 5 yards deep in the end zone. Taking kick returns from other dudes. Trying to hit a home run every time he’s within 10 feet of the ball.
I’ll tell you what, though. This is incredibly entertaining. Which is a helluva lot more than what I predicted in this game. I’m thoroughly enjoying it.
So what will the second-half hold? Well, for starters, Iowa needs to pass the ball better. Running back Akrum Wadley is leading all Hawkeye receivers with 3 catches for 37 yards. I have a feeling the team is going to need to a whole bunch m0re out of him to pull this upset.
The Hawkeyes’ defense has also been incredible. Michigan has just 45 rushing yards (the Hawkeyes have 79) and Jim Harbaugh’s crew is just 2-of-6 on third down. Speaking of critical third downs: Iowa is just 1-of-8 on third downs. Very, very far from ideal.
What happens next? Who knows. It’s nighttime at Kinnick. Expect the unexpected.
