The University of Iowa Housing and Dinning staff was notified of a racist remark discovered on a student’s door at Burge Residence Hall early this morning, according to an email from the Office of the President. UI Dining and Housing later immediately notified the UI Police Department.

The email states that an investigation is underway.

The email also invites the community to join in fellowship at the Center for Diversity and Enrichment in 24 Phillips Hall until 5 p.m. and the West-side Cultural Houses after 2 p.m.
