Indiana head coach Kevin Wilson spoke to members of the media at the Big Ten Media Days to discuss the upcoming 2016-2017 season.
- Began by sending prayers to Foltz and Sadler families
- “We’re competitive, but we’re not pleased where we’re at… We’ve let a few games slip away from us.”
- On four fifth-year seniors returning on the offensive line – “We’ve got a good core coming back.”
- Encouraged about having Devine Redding at running back, mentioned his 1000-yard season.
- On the quarterback situation – “We’ll let it play out, we aren’t going to drag it out.”
- “Make sure you keep the TV turned on, it’s going to be a lot of fun watching the Hoosiers play.”
- On recruiting – “We’ve taken our time. We’re trying to earn trust and respect.”
- On games lost in the last quarter in 2015 – “I don’t think those are games we’ve ‘blown’. We had the fewest turnovers in the conference; we had the fewest sacks in the conference. We didn’t just give them away.”
- On Tom Allen becoming the fifth defensive coordinator in six years – “We’ve created a standard on one side of the ball, but not on the other.”
