As the University of Iowa prepares to remove its oldest residence hall from campus, students living in it say goodbye with a “QuadChella” event.
Students gathered in the outside common area of the building to play games and celebrate.
“We realized its the last year and we wanted to celebrate the life Quad has had and all the people in it,” Quadrangle Hall vice president Lexi Frazier said. “So we wanted to throw a big party for everyone to come and have fun.”
Inflatables, dunk tanks, volleyball, and more lined the floor.
While some students won’t miss the infested bugs that the building is linked to, others want people to see how it has impacted the university.
“It is an old building, but it is really cool once you see passed the bugs and the age,” Frazier said.
