Last week, a new election process started for Dance Marathon for new executive members and 23 chair positions for next year’s DM event.
“We’re in that transition period where we’re now choosing our next team to lead Dance Marathon 23 to help be even more successful,” said executive member Morgan Kennedy.
To hold a leadership role, students must first be a dancer. If they were a dancer their freshman year, they can then hold a position for all three following years.
Typically, student leaders start in a committee position, move to a chair position, then can be chosen for the executive council.
“Last year I was the programing chair for Dance Marathon 22,” student leader David Gjersvik said. “After our Big Event, we had an application process and an interview process, and I applied to be the Executive Operations Director this year.”
