Many look for affordable clothing or furniture at Goodwill, a nonprofit retail store that sells used goods for over 100 years.
The company does more for the community than just sell cheap products, though.
“We are providing opportunities for people to improve their social and economic well-being,” vice president of marketing in Iowa City Mindy Kayser said. “And so we have programs that help people become more integrated in the community.”
As the company’s second mission to help the environment, Goodwill just launched their Reboot program that takes old electronics and fixes them to be sold again.
