Dance Marathon raised $2,424,031.22, after what some may call a wild and exhausting ride, “for the kids.”
Dance Marathon, a group of individuals that remained standing for 24 hours to show their dedication to their cause, were able to surpass their goal of raising $2.4 million.
At Dance Marathon 22 participants saw lots of great things. And even some surprises.
Jordan Canzeri, running back for the University of Iowa football team was there and he talked about what the experience was like for him.
“It’s a really humbling experience,” he said. “Watching these kids fight so hard and watching all these kids graduate is amazing and great thing to be a part of.”
Dancers also received a surprise visit from Chris Soules, a star from the ABC reality show, “The Bachelor.”
But by far the most impactful people at Dance Marathon 22 were the kids.
Volunteer Justin Le talked about how the kids impacted him.
“It’s an awesome experience to see so many kids so happy. It’s amazing. I can’t put it any other way,” he said.
