The Daily Iowan has reporters around Iowa City and Des Moines covering Iowa’s first-in-the-nation caucuses.

The DI has spoken with people supporting Republican candidate John Kasich in this years caucus.

“I’m voting John Kasich. He’s much more moderate than other Republican candidates, and much more focused on national debt which i believe needs settled. I know he won’t win, but I’m hoping enough people also vote for him and people realize the issues he’s bringing up.” Max Roth, 19, said while caucusing at the Robert A. Lee rec center.
