UPDATE: Sen. Bernie Sanders leads in Johnson County with 57.4 percent of caucus-attendees to Clinton’s 42.1 percent with 71 percent of precincts reporting. Meanwhile, Rubio leads with 29 percent of the vote to Cruz’s 21.4 and Trump’s 20.5 with 82 percent of precincts reporting.
ORIGINAL: The first results out of Johnson County in the Iowa presidential caucus are rolling in.
With 49 percent of precincts reporting, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders has grabbed 56.6 percent of Democratic delegates, while former Sec. of State Hillary Clinton has snagged 42.8 percent.
Meanwhile, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio leads the Republican field with 54 percent of precincts reporting. He has attained 28.1 percent of votes, while business mogul Donald Trump has 22.5 percent and Texas Sen Ted Cruz has 21.8 percent.
Cruz leads Iowa overall at 28.9 percent with 52 percent of precincts of reporting. Clinton leads statewide with 50.7 percent of the delegates with 67 precincts reporting.
