Dance Marathon 22 is coming up in less than a month, and participants are under pressure to raise a record goal of money to donate to the organization.
Dancers hope to raise at least $2,400,000 by February 5, beating last years efforts of $2,001,854.21.
To do so, leaders are requiring dancers to raise 500 dollars each, 100 dollars more than last year, in order to participate in the Big Event.
“We just know that we want to hit the 2.4 million because we made that our goal,” said PR and marketing director Nidhi Patel. “That’s based off the 20 percent increase that we want overall across the board.”
