Businesses in downtown Iowa City are noticing an uptick in profits as a result of the Hawkeye football team’s undefeated season.

“Especially these last couple games … The record I think has kept a lot of Hawks around or brought them home early so they can catch those games, which for food businesses downtown is really good,” Jimmy Johns employe Robert Holmes said.

Businesses downtown will get ready for even more business during the upcoming Big Ten Championship week.
