The University of Iowa issued a Hawk Alert early Tuesday morning regarding three reported sexual assaults.
According to the alert, a five-foot-ten white male wearing red flannel, torn jeans, and flip flops is suspected of committing the assaults near the UI Hospital and Main Library.
The report brings the total number of sexual misconducts reported to the UI community to nine for the 2015-16 school year.
The UI used a Hawk Alert to report the incidents, which are “used to notify the campus community of threats to physical safety in emergency situations,” according to the university’s website. Campus members can opt to receive the alert via text message and phone as well as e-mail.
For previous incidents this school year, the UI issued an e-mailed crime alert through UI Police, a more detailed report sent to comply with the federal Clery crime disclosure act.
