Henry Krieger Coble on chance to go 10-0
“It just puts it all into perspective, you walk out on that field and you’re playing for something a lot bigger than just yourselves. There’s a lot you’re playing for, and it definitely motivates you.”
Austin Blythe on fourth quarter success:
“I think it’s the mentality we adopted all the back in January. I know I kind of sound like a broken record at this point but it really is. We’ve got a group of guys in the locker room that really banded together in January and understood where we wanted to go this season.”
C.J. Beathard on “Superman” play:
“I wish I would’ve held the ball, and kept the ball tight. That would have been nice, then it wouldn’t have had to go to review or whatever, because it was close. But again, just make sure I tuck the ball.”
Beathard on his hops:
“I know I can jump, and I showed it there.”
Greg Mabin on watching film from last year’s 51-14 loss:
“It’s hard to watch. [We’re] taking that loss and trying to make a win out of it.”
Mabin on excitement for the night game:
“That environment’s going to be crazy. I hear they have a wrestling meet before that, so the crowd’s already going to be amped for that as well as the night game at Kinnick, the blackout, new jerseys, it’s going to be a good show.”
