Update (2:44 p.m.): The suspect is now in custody and the emergency situation has been resolved.

The University of Iowa has issued a Hawk Alert regarding a man assaulting women near the UI Hospitals and Clinics and the west dorms.

According to the alert, which was issued at 2:21 p.m., there have been multiple reports of a white man around the age of 30 with brown hair, khaki pants, and a black t-shirt committing the assaults.

Earlier this morning, the UI issued another Hawk Alert regarding three reported sexual assaults around the hospital and the Main Library.
