Iowa’s Raymond Knoll is tied for fourth after the first two rounds.

The Hawkeyes wrap up the first rounds of their first tournament of the year, the Gopher Invitational, tied for ninth place among 16 teams.
The team shot a collective 599 (plus-31) after 36 holes at Windsong Farm Golf Club (par 71) in Independence, Minnesota. The team shot a 299 in their first round of the day.
Junior Raymond Knoll shot the lowest for the Hawkeyes shooting a 74 (plus-3) in the morning round followed by a 70 (minus-1) in the second round. He finished tied for fourth.
Senior Nate Yankovich finished second lowest for the Hawkeyes with a 72 in his first round followed by a 78 in his second, finishing tied for 33rd.
Junior Carson Schaake finished the day with a 77 in his first round and a 75 in his second. Freshman Matthew Walker finished his first college rounds by shooting a 76 in his first round followed by a 78, giving the Hawks a solid performance in his first outing of the year. Sophomore Sam Meuret had a rough day, shooting an 87 in his first round, then coming back to shoot a 77 in the afternoon.
The Hawkeyes will hit the links at today at 7:30 am for their final 36 holes of play of the two-day tournament. Live updates are available on golfstat.com.
