Officers have accused an Iowa City man of driving while intoxicated.
Warnell Wright, 34, was charged with third-offense OWI on April 6.
According to online court documents, Wright parked his vehicle at a residence that was under investigation. An officer approached Wright and reportedly observed that he smelled strongly of alcohol, had slurred speech, unsteady balance, and bloodshot, watery eyes.
Wright was unable to fully complete sobriety tests because of the level of his intoxication, the court documents said. He refused a breath sample.
Third-offense OWI is a Class-D felony.
