Authorities have accused a Cedar Rapids man of presenting fraudulent checks to a bank.
Aaron Johnstone, 49, was charged with two counts of second-degree theft and two counts of forgery on Oct. 16, 2014.
According to online court documents, Johnstone entered US Bank and presented a fraudulent Jimmy Johns check made payable to the amount of $1,866.21.
He also presented another check valuing $2,255.02.
Both checks were cashed and Johnstone received the money.
Second-degree theft and forgery are both Class-D felony.
