Authorities have accused an Iowa City man of fraud against a government agency.
Tyson Marshek, 30, was charged with first-degree fraudulent practice on Feb. 5.
According to online court documents, Marshek appeared at the Johnson County Treasurer’s Office and produced a bill of sale and reportedly fraudulent North Carolina title for a 2012 Infiniti.
He signed the certificate and claimed the purchase price of the vehicle was $33,600.
First-degree fraudulent practice is a Class-C felony.
