Authorities have accused a Solon man of stealing a trailer.

Virgil Olney, 40, was charged with first-degree theft on Jan. 17.

According to online court documents, Olney reportedly admitted to his son stealing a person’s trailer. Olney allegedly helped his son hide the trailer for three days until they decided to return it.

The owner reported that more than $26,000 worth of items were missing from the trailer upon its return.

First-degree theft is a Class-C felony.
