Authorities have accused an Iowa City man of punching a woman.

Christopher Givhan, 32, was charged Nov. 16 with third-offense domestic-abuse assault.

According to online court documents, Guvhan argued with the woman and hit her on the back of the head with a closed fist.

Givhan has had previous domestic-abuse charges on Oct. 21and on April 20, 2012.

Third-offense domestic-abuse assault is a Class-D felony.
